Fibertech and Allegiance Telecom Sign Dark Fiber Network Agreement

Fibertech Networks entered into a 20-year, multi-million dollar network agreement with Allegiance Telecom [ALGX], an integrated communications provider.

Dan Yost, president and COO of Allegiance, indicated Fibertech was chosen due to their ability to diversely interconnect multiple central offices, carrier hotels and other data aggregation points deep within a metropolitan area.

Fibertech has already delivered one of the dark fiber metro network rings contracted for by Allegiance in Pittsburgh, Pa. Allegiance has the option to take additional fiber from Fibertech in future specified markets. >TK PanAmSat Corp. [SPOT]:
