Communications Today, Nov 8, 2002

Bandwidth management technology provider Tellabs [TLAB] is the winner of the Better Business Bureau of Chicago & Northern Illinois' Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics for companies with between 1,000 and 7,499 employees. This award honors businesses that demonstrate high standards of ethical behavior toward customers, employees, suppliers, stockholders and communities. In addition, Tellabs received top honors for the third consecutive year on Business Ethics' annual "100 Best Corporate Citizens" list, and it was ranked No. 5 in the network communications category of Fortune's "America's Most Admired Companies" list. Says chairman and CEO Michael Birck, "Tellabs people expect the company and its leaders to be guided by ethical principles and an inclination to do the right things."
