Communications Today, Nov 15, 2001

Sirius Satellite Radio [SIRI], a satellite radio broadcaster, has been named a "Best of What's New" Grand Prize winner for 2001 in the electronics category by Popular Science magazine.

The magazine, which honors breakthrough products and technologies each year, recognized Sirius for its new satellite radio service

"We're extremely proud that the editors of Popular Science have recognized the vast potential of satellite radio," said Philip Pilla, Sirius' vice president of marketing. "We are quite confident that satellite radio will have the same impact on radio as cable did on television. The result will be a radically improved in-car entertainment experience for listeners around the country."
