PanAmSat Optimistic At Latin America Turnaround
Communications Today, Nov 25, 2002
Tom Eaton, executive vice president, global sales and marketing at PanAmSat told Communications Today that the operator is still optimistic that it can gain good returns in Latin America despite tough operating conditions. Eaton said: "There are some tough economic times going on but we are positioned to ride that out. We are working with people like Telespazio (in Brazil) to increase our presence on the ground. I think we have a unique position with some of our satellites to grow some of our business through these hard times, and be there when things start to turn around."
