Japan Telecom To Cut 2002 Capex

Communications Today, Feb 7, 2002

Japan Telecom, one of the largest telecommunications companies in Japan, on Tuesday said that it will cut its capital spending in the current 2001/2002 business year to 123 billion yen ($930.4 million) from a planned 143.6 billion yen ($1.1 billion).

The company said the reductions would come from cancellations and the deferment of some payments and network and data business construction plans. >TK
