Comcast Posts 4Q Loss

Cable giant Comcast [CMCSK] on Wednesday posted a 2001 fourth-quarter loss of $321million, or 34 cents a share, including one-time items, compared to a profit of $778.5 million, or 80 cents a share, a year ago.
The company said it expects cable revenues to increase between 10 percent and 12 percent in 2002, compared with a 9.2 percent increase for the full year 2001.
This past November, Comcast posted a 2001 third-quarter loss of $106.8 million, or 11 cents a share, compared to a profit of $1.25 billion, or $1.29 a share, in the same period a year ago.
