FCC Grants Approval For Delayed Intelsat 903 Launch

The Federal Communications Commission issued an order that waives milestone requirements on the launch of Intelsat 903 satellite due to the delay in its delivery by Space Systems/Loral [LOR], the spacecraft's manufacturer.
The FCC's order modified the launch milestone deadline and the corresponding in-service date for Intelsat. Intelsat 903, a replacement satellite for Intelsat 603 at 24.5[ordinal indicator, masculine] W, had been given a launch milestone date of November 2001.
