Communications Today, Feb 19, 2002
After more than 10 years in its start-up stage and $1.6 billion-plus in financing, Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. [SIRI] on Thursday became the second satellite radio service to begin revenue-generating service since last September.
Rival XM Satellite Radio Inc. [XMSR] already has amassed more than 30,000 subscribers since its service launch in late September and Sirius is trying creative marketing to build an identify of its own quickly.
