FCC Fines SBC $84,000

The Federal Communications Commission on Monday fined SBC Communications [SBC] $84,000 for 24 violations of the commission's rules on collocation.
The commission requires incumbent local exchange carriers to post within 10 days, on their publicly available Internet site, notices of ILEC-owned premises that have run out of collocation space. An independent audit of SBC's compliance with the commission's collocation posting rules uncovered violations and the Enforcement Bureau's subsequent investigation revealed additional violations, the commission said.
This past month, the FCC proposed a $6 million fine against SBC for allegedly failing to meet performance targets for providing companies with access to its network. >TK Verizon Communications' [VZ]:
