Siemens Names New Enterprise Networks Chief
Communications Today, March 4, 2002
Siemens [SI] subsidiary Siemens Information and Communication Networks announced Friday that Joseph G. Licata Jr. became president of its Enterprise Networks division in the United States.
Siemens is expecting the enterprise networking market to grow as more companies upgrade their networks to IP. "The two key drivers in the enterprise communications market today are the economy and the technology shift. Companies are recognizing more and more that they can improve productivity through IP networks and applications. More importantly, many are finding that migrating to IP can actually be less expensive than maintaining an existing PBX," Siemens Senior Vice President Global Marketing Siemens Enterprise Networks Mark Straton told Communications Today.
