Tachyon Aids Firefighters In The Field With Satellite Broadband Technology

Communications Today, March 4, 2002

San Diego-based Tachyon Inc.'s mobile satellite broadband technology is helping firefighters.

When a devastating fire broke out in Fallbrook, Calif., last month, Tachyon supplied critical support by equipping firefighters with a complimentary prototype of a new mobile broadband satellite system that makes high-speed Internet and network access communications possible in even the most remote locations, company officials said.

The prototype of Tachyon's new mobile network access product is planned for introduction in March, company officials said.
