Global Radio Chooses SG Cowen

Global Radio, a development-stage Munsbach, Luxembourg-based satellite radio service, selected SG Cowen Securities, a unit of the Soci?t? G?n?rale Group, as its investment banker to support its second round of financing.

The SG Cowen selection comes a week after former Comsat CEO Bruce L. Crockett was named Global Radio's delegated administrator. Global Radio's highcapacity system, set for early 2005 launch, will deliver traditional and innovative digital radio entertainment and information services to motorists, mobile users, homes and businesses throughout Europe.

Manish Thakur, head of SG Cowen's global satellite practice, said, "We are enthusiastic about the opportunities for satellite-delivered radio and other telematics services in Europe. Global Radio has a strong business model and has identified a large and diverse potential customer base for its basic and valueadded services."
