Co-operative Bank claims to have launched UK's first full service Internet bank

A new UK-based Internet bank called smile.co.uk, was launched on 28 October at http://www.smile.co.uk. Established by The Co-operative Bank, 'smile' claims to be the first full service Internet bank in the UK and will offer a wide range of financial services. In addition to conducting routine banking via the Internet, customers will be able to cash cheques and pay money in at their local Post Office, make deposits by post, and access their cash via the national LINK cash machine network.
