New forum launched to improve broadband content delivery

INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Several Internet infrastructure, content and service providers have teamed up to establish a new alliance, called the Broadband Content Delivery Forum (BCDF), that will focus on developing open architectures for the delivery of rich multimedia content over the emerging broadband networks.
The BCDF currently has over 30 members including Nortel Networks, AT&T Broadband, Bertelsmann, British Telecom, NBCi, Qwest, Telocity and Telstra. The alliance's initial meeting will be in May.
