UK online retailer Intersaver.co.uk has lodged a formal complaint with Britain's Office of Fair Trading (OFT) against Japanese electrical manufacturer JVC as part of its fight against high street price fixing.

Intersaver claims that it had reached an agreement with JVC to offer a range of JVC's home entertainment and electrical products on its web site but that JVC refused to supply the goods after becoming aware of the discounts Intersaver wanted to offer.

According to Intersaver JVC and other manufacturers are under pressure from their major high street clients to deny online companies offering discounted prices access to product.
