MGI Software has launched ZOOM Server 3.5, the latest version of its imaging server.
The server is designed to enable e-tailers, auction sites or other online businesses to transmit high-resolution images over the Internet to allow customers to zoom in on fine details in products offered for sale.
Enhancements in version 3.5 include an improved threading model which yields an increase in performance of up to 20% compared with earlier versions, new administration tools to make it easier for site administrators to control the entire imaging system, more extensive image tracking and an 'Authoring Assistant' that automatically generates the HTML code required to display zoomable images using various ZOOM viewers.
ZOOM Server 3.5 is available in five different editions with a new simplified pricing structure. Pricing details were not revealed.
