Nokia has introduced a WAP browser compliant with the WAP 1.2 specification.
The Nokia WAP Browser 2.0 will be available for use by mobile phone and other device manufacturers as source code under a choice of licensing arrangements including a royalty-free option.
The browser supports WML 1.2, WML Script and Push functionality and will be shipped as source code, enabling manufacturers and wireless carriers to manage the user interface and to develop the functionality of the product to meet their own specific market needs, Nokia said in a statement.
