Creditweb, a new online mortgage broker, has launched in the UK.
The company offers free, independent mortgage advice via its web site and also a freephone telephone number. It claims to have information on more than 4,500 products from every lender in the UK, and the Creditweb site will feature a selection of the 'best deals', updated daily.
As well as offering advice, the Creditweb site offers monthly repayment and maximum loan calculators and also features a facility to enable users to print out an application form from their own computer. Creditweb can also arrange a quotation for the user's chosen product and process the application. The company claims that its operations in Germany and the UK already process over 450 mortgage applications per week.
Later this year Creditweb will begin operating in France and there are plans to offer the service in Austria, Ireland and Switzerland by early 2001.
The Creditweb site is located at http://www.creditweb.com.
