NetBanx launches new service to protect online merchants against credit card fraud

NetBanx, a UK online payment systems provider, has launched a cardholder address verification service for online merchants.
The service aims to reduce the risk for these merchants of credit cards being used fraudulently in online shopping by allowing them to check that the address details given by the card holder are consistent with those held by the card issuer.
NetBanx will provisionally offer the new service for all orders over GBP100 to merchants using the company's payment system.
