Swedish software company Demicron has launched WireFusion, its new visual Java drag-and-drop programming tool for creating advanced and interactive Java applets and illustrations.

Written entirely in the new Java 2 language, the tool does not require any prior knowledge in programming or Java, allowing users to visually connect preprogrammed objects with different functions.

A special feature is the software's capability to handle multi-layer image-processing and 256-scale alpha channels in real time.

WireFusion has been released as a shareware version which can be downloaded free of charge from http://www.demicron.com/wirefusion/wf.html. A registered version is available at the same web site for purchase at USD450/licence.
