Convergys and Level 3 partner to provide turnkey offerings to IP service providers

Convergys Group and Level 3 Communications have formed an alliance to meet the growing demand for IP-based services and networks.
Under the agreement, Convergys will integrate Level 3's network technology with its business support systems, enabling it to provide turnkey implementation of billing and customer care systems to IP service providers.
Initially the companies will offer a turnkey system that includes Convergys' Catalys IP billing and customer service application, DSL aggregation and IP voice services using Level 3's Softswitch technology. This offering, which will be available in 1Q'2000, will be seamlessly integrated into Level 3's operational support system infrastructure.
