Free music downloads increase music sales, study finds

People who download music off the Internet for free are likely to spend more on music than they did before, despite contradictory claims from the recording industry, according to a recent study.
The study by Jupiter Communications calls for record companies to change their focus from litigation against 'music sharing' technologies to integration and add music sharing to their range of available products, according to The Associated Press.
Online partnerships which include record companies could enhance music sales, according to Jupiter Communications.
