Fictionwise.com launches new e-book web site

A new website dedicated to e-books has been launched by Fictionwise.com, an e-book short fiction publisher.

The new site at www.fictionwise.com features multiple short stories from authors including Robert Silverberg, Damon Knight, Mike Resnick, James Patrick Kelly, Nancy Kress, Tom Purdom, John Kessel, Barry Malzberg and Mary Soon Lee, with about 100 titles currently available.

Fictionwise.com expects to have some 500 short stories on the site by the end of 2000, which registered users will be able to purchase and download in their preferred format. Formats available include Adobe Acrobat, Palm Doc for Palm Pilots, Rocket eBook readers and shortly the Microsoft eBook reader also.

To promote the site Fictionwise.com will be giving away one free Rocket eBook reader device each month for the rest of 2000.

Genres available include science fiction, fantasy, dark fantasy, horror and humour.
