BBC to provide news content to Yahoo!

BBC's Internet news service BBC News Online and Yahoo! have signed an agreement whereby BBC News Online will deliver a regularly updated news service for Yahoo! UK & Ireland.
The deal represents the first time that BBC News Online will supply its content to an external online news provider.
Under the agreement BBC News Online will deliver the top five stories from the six main sections - UK, world, politics, business, science and technology - of its news service to Yahoo!. The content will be available at the Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Sport, Yahoo! Finance, My Yahoo! and Yahoo! Messenger sites.
In recognition of the BBC's special status as a public service broadcaster, Yahoo! has decided to present the new service in a way that ensures editorial independence and so the pages that host the BBC news stories will not carry any advertising.
