BT Ignite Content Hosting to offer hosting services in Japan

BT Ignite Content Hosting, the hosting arm of British Telecommunications Plc's international broadband and Internet protocol data and solutions business, has extended its European Internet data centre network into Japan.
The hosting unit has signed a reciprocal agreement with JENS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan Telecom. Through the deal the BT hosting company will be able to provide its customers in Europe with content hosting services in Japan, from a single point of contact on a local level. In return JENS' customers will get access to BT Ignite Content Hosting`s products in Europe.
The two partners have also formed a joint committee for the development of new Internet data centre services.
