A Norwegian court has found a teenager guilty of counterfeiting and of selling downloaded MP3-files.

It is reportedly the first time that a Norwegian court has convicted someone for this type of crime. The man, who sold a total of 290 CDs on which he had recorded music files and some software from the Internet, was sentenced to two years and six months in jail as well as NOK20,000 in fines. He will also have to hand in his computer, which was used to make the CDs.
