New music subscription service to be launched by AOL Time Warner

AOL Time Warner Inc will begin offering a new online music subscription service from next month (January 2002).
The new service - AOL Presents MusicNet 1.0 - will provide subscribers with a monthly allowance of 100 streams and 100 downloads, allowing music storage on a home PC.
MusicNet is owned by AOL Time Warner, Bertelsmann AG and EMI Plc.
The service will cost USD9.95 per month.
