A new survey by Ernst & Young and Kelkoo brandometer has shown that 32% of all online enquiries at price comparison web sites were for Harry Potter toys.

In total, the companies measured 18,500 requests for information on toys and 43,000 for video games. Harry Potter attracted almost 6,000 requests for information about toys, while Barbie came second with 1,900 requests and Scalextrix third with 1,300. The Harry Potter video game was the most requested item for video game inquiries with 9% of the total requests.

The research was compiled in the four weeks up to Christmas Eve (24 December).
