More than 3m Internet users worldwide have utilised the free Symantec Security Check service, according to the company.
Symantec Security Check identifies vulnerabilities in PC and Macintosh systems by analysing for potential security risks from hackers, viruses and privacy threats. It also recommends ways to secure those risks.
The service can be accessed at http://www.symantec.com/securitycheck.
