The Grocer, a trade magazine, has published a report on how well UK supermarkets are selling their goods online.
All of the web sites - from Asda, Iceland, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose - were given approval from the Grocer when it came to online ordering with average times for a 33 item order ranging from 18 minutes on Sainsbury's to 60 minutes on Waitrose.
Tesco.com was found to be the most visited site out of the five supermarkets with 6.6% of the UK online population having visited it over Easter. Sainsbury's, Asda and Waitrose all received visits from 1% of the UK online population.
The Grocer did claim, however, that all of the online shopping sites for the supermarkets failed on at least one of the online criteria they were measured on.
