UK small businesses turn to online banking

Small businesses are using online banking facilities in increasing numbers, claims the British Bankers' Association.
The total number of small businesses banking online has reportedly reached 440,000 or around 15% of the total in Britain.
The amount of money deposited in the top ten banks in the UK reached GBP44.5bn in 2001, up 8% from the 2000 level while term loans and overdrafts rose 9% and 4% to GBP29.1bn and GBP12.2bn respectively.
