Online information resource Thomas Register has conducted a piece of research on how online marketing compares to in-person marketing.
The survey found that direct sales were believed to have the greatest return on investment with 32% of buyers claiming that direct sales were better than online marketing. This compares with 15% of all those questioned that said Internet marketing conveyed the higher return on investment.
The survey questioned 760,000 buyers from the manufacturing, engineering, wholesale trade, distribution and government sectors.
