UK telecomms company BT plc has declared that it has reduced the cost of the activation charge for its broadband Internet service.
New broadband subscribers will now be charged a GBP30 activation charge instead of the GBP60 one-off fee that was previously applicable.
A spokesperson for the company has stated that the move is intended to enhance BT's sales and marketing efforts in the run-up to the launch of BT Broadband in the autumn.
The offer runs until 20 September 2002.
