HMV begins online music subscription service

INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
An agreement has been formed between UK music retailer HMV and digital music service On Demand Distribution (OD2).
HMV will now offer approximately 100,000 songs over the Internet. Users can then subscribe to the service and listen to, download or burn a set number of selected tracks.
A spokesperson for OD2 has said that the service will include tracks from Elvis Presley, Craig David, Westlife and Dido.
A monthly subscription to the service costs GBP4.99.
