Central Command issues list of top viruses for December 2001

PC anti-virus software provider Central Command Inc has released its list of the most frequently occurring viruses for December 2001.

At the top of the list was Win32.Goner.A@mm with 36.8% of all occurrences followed by I-Worm.Badtrans.B with 27.1%. All other viruses were below 10% including Nimda and Sircam.

December brought the highest number of virus occurrences ever recorded by Central Command's Emergency Virus Response Team.
