A questionnaire sent to 600 of the 150,000 Telia broadband users in Sweden has reportedly revealed that 75% download music files and 35% download films from the Internet.
Most of the music and films are protected by copyright and Telia has said that although these are substantial figures they were expected as people use the connections for entertainment.
Telia has said that the company has no legal responsibility for the downloaded material but that it does not try to hide that it is a problem and is happy to help the music and film industries to charge for their services, reported Dagens Nyheter, a Swedish newspaper.
