Payment processor WorldPay has launched WorldAlert, its new e-commerce offering for managing anti-fraud protection.
The new release monitors each transaction and detects any patterns of fraudulent buying behaviour. If any are detected, the software alerts the retailer and gives them the choice of declining the transaction.
According to the company, the launch of WorldAlert comes in response to a study carried out by Experian that found that over 97% of online retailers have been a victim of fraud at some point in the last year.
The cost of the WorldPay WorldAlert system was not revealed.
