Internet portal Yahoo has entered into a number of agreements with web technology companies for online advertising technology.
Yahoo will use new technologies from Eyeblaster, EyeWonder, PointRoll and Unicast to make online advertisements harder to ignore. This includes placing the advert as a flash-animated pop-up, expanding ad banners when a cursor passes over it, streaming video commercials and advertisements that users can explore without leaving the web page they are on.
A spokesperson for Yahoo has claimed that the agreements will boost the interactive packages that are on offer to its clients.
No financial terms were disclosed.
