Online spending in the US up over last year claims comScore Media Metrix

Internet measurement company comScore Media Metrix has published a new report that looks at online consumer spending in the US.
The research revealed that US consumer spending on the Internet grew by 41% in the second quarter of 2002 from the same quarter one year ago. This resulted in total sales of USD17.5bn for the period. This consisted of USD7.8bn being spent on travel - a rise of 46% over the year - and USD9.7bn on non-travel sales - a rise of 28%.
