Technology research firm Forrester Research has completed a report that examines the habits of online auction users in the US.
The company found that individuals that consider themselves to be online auction enthusiasts spent USD623 online in the past three months. This compares to USD490 spent by those that think of themselves as moderate auction users. This was observed despite also finding that moderate online auction users tended to have a higher income than enthusiastic users.
Other results showed that online auction enthusiasts spent 15 hours online per week for leisure while moderate users and those that did not use auction sites spent 11.4 and 8.2 hours respectively.
