Covad starts high speed Internet access service in the US

Broadband service provider Covad Communications Group Inc has begun offering a new high speed Internet access service in the US.
Subscribers to the service connect to the Internet over their existing telephone line. The service is capable of download speeds of 200KB/s and upload speeds of 64KB/s.
The service costs USD21.95 per month for the first four months then USD39.95 for each month after that. Faster speeds are available at an increased cost.
