Taylor Nelson Sofres survey looks at corporate e-mail use in different countries

A recent survey carried out by Taylor Nelson Sofres has found that most IT companies are using the Internet to deal with customers more than than for internal purposes.
When questioned, 93% of companies in the US claimed that they do use the Internet more for customers than internal issues. This compares to 86% in the UK, 75% in Denmark, 61% in Singapore, 60% in Japan and 36% in France. Similarly, 93% of US companies, 91% of those in the UK and 87% of French and Japanese companies are using e-mail of some sort.
The survey polled 555 IT professionals in the six different countries between July 2001 and August 2001.
