Informa Media predicts USD2.4bn online music subscription revenues for 2007

Informa Media has predicted that online music subscription services will be worth USD2.4bn by 2007.
The expected revenues figure for 2002 has been set at USD71.5m with that amount reaching USD473m by the end of 2004. The music subscription services will not take off until 2003 when the restrictions of the existing services have been lifted, according to the company.
By 2007, it is expected that North America will account for 46% of online music subscription revenue, followed by Europe with a 33% share.
