A new online music subscription service has been launched by record company EMI and Liquid Audio, an Internet music delivery software and services provider.
The BurnItFirst service allows its subscribers to keep the songs they download and lets them burn them onto a CD. There is a limit of 20 on the number of songs that can be downloaded over a month.
The downloads that are being offered are initially just from the Christian music catalogue from EMI. The company has also claimed that it will observe how the service works before extending the selection of music.
One month's subscription to the BurnItFirst service costs USD10.
