All of the major banks in Sweden had more visitors to their web sites in April than in the previous month, according to new figures from Nielsen/NetRatings.

Foreningssparbanken had the most significant increase - the number of visitors to its site rose from 895,107 in March to 1,006,333 in April. The number of visitors to Handelsbanken's site went up from 242,354 to 261,303 and to Nordea's site from 402,989 to 473,000. The visitors to SEB's site increased from 240,863 to 245,116.

The number of visitors to Skandiabanken's site also grew somewhat, from 92,207 to 96,344. However, the bank has experienced a remarkable loss of visitors in recent months - in January Skandiabanken's Internet bank still had over 119,000 visitors, reports the Swedish newspaper Dagens Industri.
