Freeserve announces intent to launch music download subscription service

Internet service provider Freeserve is set to launch a new music subscription service following an agreement formed between Wanadoo, Freeserve's parent company, and UK-based On Demand Distribution.
According to Freeserve, the service will feature artists from labels such as BMG or Warner. Subscribers will also have the chance to choose from a 30-day access to streamed recordings or a permanent download option.
The launch date of the service has been scheduled for early summer. Subscriptions will reportedly start at around GBP5 per month.
