A new report from IBM and UK magazine The Economist has found that Sweden is the most 'web-savvy' nation in the world, closely followed by Denmark and the US.

The survey measured countries on their quality, price and availability of Internet connections, software and technical support as well as legal and government frameworks, Internet penetration, the attitude towards the Internet and more. From this, each country was given a score out of 10 and placed in a league table of the 60 countries that were surveyed.

Sweden achieved top spot with 8.67 points - up from 8.32 one year ago which meant that it overtook the US, which had a score that was relatively unchanged at 8.43 points. A spokesperson for IBM said that the differences were small between the top 14 and all of them scored more than eight points.

The least web-savvy countries were found to be Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan with scores of 2.37 and 2.52 respectively.
