THUS plc, a UK-based provider of voice, networking, Internet and contact centre services, has claimed that hidden costs of hosting are punishing UK companies for successful web sites.
According to THUS, some hosting providers hide the costs of additional data transfer and offer low traffic thresholds so that they can charge businesses excessive fees for exceeding their limit.
Under a new pricing model for THUS' Demon Hosting Services, customers will be migrated penalty-free to the next fixed price service once their traffic allowance has been exceeded consistently for more than one month.
