US research and education organisation the NSF has revealed its plans to include a virtual tour of Thomas Jefferson's home in an upcoming exhibition.
The tour will let visitors look in through the windows of the house and see a 3D view of the various rooms that can be found in Monticello - Jefferson's home in Virginia.
The virtual tour was developed by computer graphics researchers from the University of North Carolina and the University of Michigan using a laser scanner and video camera with a rangefinder.
A spokesperson for the universities said that the display was set up in homage to the tourists that would travel to Monticello after Jefferson's retirement and peer into his windows to try to get a glance of the ex-president.
