Web hosting company Verio and new media agency M-Corp have both measured the rise in traffic to beach-related web sites due to the recent spell of sunny weather in the UK.
The companies claim that traffic to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (http://www.rnli.org.uk) and sports lifestyle brand Animal (http://www.animal.co.uk) has increased by as much as 50%. This is reportedly due to residents in Britain accessing the Internet to find out details of summer activities in their area.
